We correct our mistakes — openly
Accuracy is the foundation of Informopedia.net. When we publish something wrong, we fix it quickly and we do it in the open — we do not silently rewrite published articles.
How to report an error
Email [email protected] with the subject line starting “Correction:”. Include the article URL and describe what is wrong. We review every report.
What happens next
Verified factual errors are corrected on the article itself, with a short dated correction note stating what was changed. Serious errors — ones that change the meaning of a story — are flagged with a correction notice at the top of the article. Typographical errors are fixed without a note.
What we do not do
We do not delete articles to hide mistakes, and we do not alter quotes, figures, or images without disclosure. Opinions and analysis are labeled as such and are not subject to factual correction, though we welcome reasoned disagreement.
